The Flintstones is a 1994 American live-action film directed by Brian Levant, starring John Goodman, Rick Moranis, Elizabeth Perkins and Rosie O'Donnell and based on the prime time animated series of the same name. It is produced by Amblin Entertainment, Hanna-Barbera Productions and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film was poorly received by critics but was a box-office success and has received a large cult following. It was followed by a prequel, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, released in 2000.
